The Buddhist Recovery Network (BRN) is hosting the next Recovery Summit at Fairview Lake YMCA, near Stillwater, New Jersey from Thursday, October 10th until  Sunday 13th, 2024.  The provisional title of this year’s summit is:

Beyond Recovery: An Appropriate Response

Come join us at the intersection of Buddhist practice and recovery from addiction.   The summit will be a global gathering of teachers, authors, healers, meeting facilitators and practitioners.  All recovery paths and Buddhist lineages are welcome. During the 4-day retreat, we will engage in presentations, group discussion and sharing, practice, networking, collaborating and much more. The full program content is still being finalised but, is likely to include presentations by Vimalasara, Kevin Griffin, Vince Cullen and others. Some of the topics for this year’s summit will include Safer Sanghas, and Forgiveness in Recovery as well as:

  • Review and experience the many formats for Buddhist Recovery meetings: Refuge Recovery, Heart of Recovery, Eight Step Recovery, 12-step focused, and others.
  • Buddhist Recovery past, present and future.  Where do we go from here? How can the BRN help?

The Summit will be held at the Fairview Lake YMCA Camps near Stillwater, New Jersey, USA.  Sitting on 660 acres that adjoin the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Fairview provides access to the Appalachian Trail, Delaware River, hiking, and breathtaking views. The summit fee will include shared accommodations and vegetarian meals.

There are two registration options: Thursday to Sunday and Friday to Sunday.  In addition, there will also be a small number of Day Visitor places available.
